The Bible Timeline

An easy-to-navigate, interconnected database of more than 850 Bible characters and major biblical events!

Amazing Facts' new Bible Timeline at www.biblehistory.com is an enriching, state-of-the-art online resource that will help you and others from all walks of like get a detailed and expansive look at biblical events and characters across the span of history.

Even though 20 million Bibles are sold every year in America, nearly 80 percent of Americans say that Bible study is too confusing and difficult. So we've designed the Bible Timeline to help curious seekers and experienced Bible students get the most out of their Bible study by providing a dynamic resource coupled with a powerful user experience. The result is one that will encourage people to increase their Bible literacy in a fun and intriguing way.

The Bible Timeline utilizes the latest online technology, such as zoom-able layers, to pinpoint 850 historical events and Bible characters—from Adam, Obed, and Samson to Jesus, Paul, Stephen and beyond—providing context and important information through articles, complete Scripture references, historic artwork, and more.

It features three major eras, or ages (age of patriarchs, age of Israel, age of Christ), divided into a total of 13 categories of events and characters, making navigation simple and intuitive. Visitors can also create an account to save their favorite entries for quick access wherever they are.

Will you please share the Bible Timeline with your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, and church family? Pass along this video and article to as many people as you can and help it grow!

Samuel's lifetime is given as 1129-1017 BC.
The period of "Samuel Judges Israel" is given as 1143-1055 BC, but it should be a sub-set of Samuel's lifetime.

I really like the thoroughness www.biblehistory.com, and this is only inconsistency I have found so far.

Thanks,

Ron

Also, King Abijah's birth year is given as 913 (which is when he inherited the throne) instead of 950 or so.

My biggest suggestion for improvements to www.biblehistory.com is to add in all of the people mentioned in Jesus' genealogies in Matthew 1 and Luke 3.

There appears to be a rather serious mistake on this timeline in regards to Abraham and Isaac. Looking at the event page for Abraham (http://timeline.biblehistory.com/event/abraham), it states (correctly), "Abraham was born in 1950 b.c. left Haran for Canaan after the death of his father in 1875 b.c...".

But on the timeline it shows Abraham as being born in 1946 BC and departing for Haran in 1871 BC. Both these dates are 4 years too late, and cannot be correct since it makes Abraham only 96 years old when Isaac was born, instead of 100 as the Bible states. The dates on the timeline for all the other patriarchs before Abraham are also four years later than they should be.

Also, contrary to what the timeline shows, Noah was not alive when Abraham was born - he died just two years before in 1952 BC.

I hope these contradictions can be corrected, since otherwise this timeline could be a very helpful resource.

Joseph's, Banner & E.U. Flag have the Same Source Apocalypse 12

Dear friends of the faith, ask yourself which Flag you want to be under. You really have no choice. My symbol represents the church in the wilderness, theirs represents the one world secular democracy of AntiChrist, along with the religious liberty of the Vatican II Church, again, backed by one of the most powerful countries in the world, the United States of America.

We Traditionalists and other conservatists need to warn the world of our Lords soon return and all the world is going to suffer the continuing Chastisement of plagues and FIRE before his return. These weather conditions are not just from global warming but from God's wrath through his Angels. The Church teaches that the faithful will be protected from the FIRE.
Remember, the assembly of the AntiChrist and his followers have to gather in Jerusalem first, then the Fire. You should have a sign in the sky of a cross, before the fire. The killing and resurrection of the TWO witnesses. His return comes on the next Pentecost Sunday, Middle East time. We in the west won't get that last Pentecost Sunday because it will be Saturday night here and different times in other parts of the world. Once he makes himself present the whole world will become Pentecost Sunday. We will all go up to the clouds for the testimonial judgment and we will be joined with those in HELL and those in HEAVEN. I assume we will be in two time zones. I Imagin the Earth will be still visible below us and it's seven rotations will indicate a week, but we will combine with the other time zone, as was the Creation.
I have been warning the world for over 50 years and if you do not see this today, you never will. With God's grace I was able to open up 23 mysteries of the book of the Apocalypse and in a court of law, I would win easy, but you cannot take religious theology into a secular court of law, and our religious leaders are all divided among themselves.

The reason why people say that the Bible is confusing, is because they approach the word like a text book.
You have to be filled with the Holy Spirit to understand the word. Jesus taught The Word of God in parables.
Why? Because those who were seeking the truth, would find it. Otherwise, the meaning would be hidden to those who weren't.

Jon, I wish this information was available in a download that is concise, so it can be kept at hand when studying the Bible.
I watch a lot of Christian TV, not the evangelical sort, and see the whole Adventist church advocating that the end is very near. First response: Jesus has told us we cannot know the time, only the Father knows that. Second response, if you are wrong, of which there is a high probability (see below,) you will have duplicated the Great Disappointment, and will turn many followers off relegion. Third response, as an example, Romans 11:25 tells us the Jews' hearts were hardened by God "until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in." Do we see the evidence of Israel's acceptance of Christ Jesus? The Jews are still God's chosen people, and they will be redeemed, but it has not happened yet. There are lots of prophesies that we have not seen fulfilled. Yet is is undeniable that your members are preaching imminent end-times, even the likes of Walter Veith.
The main concern of Christians should be that, whether or not the end comes in their lifetimes, that lifetime is their only opportunity to find Jesus. He has already preached the Gospel to us, and if we don't receive it and pursue Him, we will be lost. There will be no 'preaching to the souls in prison' (1Pet,3:19) for us. So forget about the Second Coming, what is important is that each individual see to his or her salvation here and now, before the opportunity is lost.

We, God's people, are His watchmen. There is a message which needs to be told. One message is Ezekiel 33 another is Revelation 14.

Jesus tells us to be vigilant and to watch. We are not to set an hour nor a day, but that does not preclude us from watching and observing the times.

Too many (c)hristians are following false doctrines. For them their great hope might not be His soon coming. One example could be thus; If they believe that when they die their soul goes straight to heaven, then why would they look forward to His return?

There are many other false teachings our (c)hristian brothers have which are misinterpretations of biblical teachings. We need to make sure Babylon is not in our hearts.

When I looked at your Timeline, I think putting Creation at 2500 B.C. is way way out of line, could not even approximate the 4,000 years from Adam to Christ, and the 2,000 years from death of Christ in 31 A.D. to Christ's Second Coming, to complete 6,000 years before Christ come again. Thanks, anyway for trying.

Hi Manny, just to clear things up a little, the note on that Bible History Timeline chart shows from Creation up to 2500 years BC, calling it the first generation, it does not suggest creation was at 2500 years BC... the time around 2500BC would have been just prior to Noah building the Ark. From a biblical and genealogy point of view, Creation is approx. 4000BC, the covenant that God makes with Abram (Abraham) is approx. 2000BC, the birth of our Lord at approx. 0AD (possibly anytime from 3BC) and fast forward we are 2021AD from this date... this tells us the history of the Earth and man to be approx. 6000 years... very interesting how it symbolically ties in with a 7 day week, 6 days you shall work and on the 7th day you shall rest. Also note2Peter 3:8 "But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."

Hello Manny, my understanding is that the timeline mentions the first generation (from Adam to the flood I’d assume) is approximately up to 2500 BC. They (or any one on Earth) don’t know the date of Creation, but they do approximate Adam’s life to be from 3954-3024 BC, which would fit with 4000 yrs before Christ.

Hello fellow Christians. I am currently in a bit of a dillema looking for a reliable and unquestionable source about the foundings of the books of the official Bible texts: Separatedfrom the Apocrypha. I am looking for a source that explains why the books of the Apocrypha were not added to the Bible In which also explains that the Bible was written by first and second accounts of the things that happened. And that the Apocrypha is not only written by several more accounts than just 1st or 2nd, but also more years later than the others. I am seeking a source with an explanation of this because someone I trust shared it with me and I am looking for more information about it to share with someone who had brought it up to me in discussion and I would love if they could be informed. Ifanyone has information: a video from a ronound scholar, a trustworthy website source, anything. I would greatly appreciate it.

@JRill - if you look at a few texts before Revelation 12:10, the bible clearly states that satan was cast down to earth. (Revelation 12:7-9).
