Does God Really Send Evil Spirits?

Q. In 1 Samuel 16:14, the Bible talks about an evil spirit that came from the Lord. What does that mean?

A. Notice first that because Saul was no longer listening to the Lord (1 Samuel 15:26), God directed the prophet Samuel to anoint David as king in place of Saul. The Bible says that when Samuel poured the horn of holy oil on the young shepherd, “the spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward” (1 Samuel 16:13). Then in verse 14 it says that the Spirit of the Lord left Saul, “and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him.”

Set aside the phrase “from the Lord” for a second and focus instead on the part of the verse that says, “The spirit of the Lord departed from Saul.” That would be the Holy Spirit, right? The Holy Spirit came upon David and left Saul. When God’s Spirit goes out of a person, the devil’s spirit goes in. Jesus said in Matthew 12:30 that “He that is not with me is against me.” Nobody is neutral. Everyone has varying degrees of either God’s Spirit or the spirit of the enemy. To the same extent that we empty ourselves of self, God can fill us with His Spirit.

When the Bible says that “a spirit from the Lord” troubled Saul, it doesn’t mean that God said, “I’ve got a devil I’m going to give to you.” As evidence, look at the story of Job. When the devil came to the Lord and wanted to plague Job, he couldn’t do anything until after God had withdrawn His protection from him. After God withdrew his protection from Job, He said, “He is in thine hand; but save his life,” (Job 2:6). The next verse in the New King James Version goes on to say, “So Satan went out from the presence of the Lor d, and struck Job with painful boils.”

When the Bible says that an evil spirit came from the Lord, it means that God withdrew His protection from Saul after Saul rejected Him. When God withdrew His protection from Saul, these devils were allowed to bring a depression upon him. The Bible says that “God … will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV).

This really means that although God will allow you to be tempted, He’s not doing the tempting. James 1:13 (NKJV) says, “Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am tempted by God’; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.” God allows temptation to come in order to strengthen our characters, but He doesn’t send it.

Mark 16:17 - Jesus said: "And these signs shall follow them that BELIEVE; In MY NAME SHALL THEY CAST OUT devils; they shall speak with new tongues" - THIS Holy Scripture WORKS. I used it and I screamed out to Jesus for help BY CONFESSING a sin - after sensing something vile on top of me. I strongly believe that God's Holy Spirit had opened my Spiritual Eyes to show me what was attacking me, which I really did not know. Afterwards, I clearly could see and understand that The Holy Spirit had tried a few times earlier in my life, to remind me of this sin, a sin which I really did not understand why it happened and I hid in shame. Shame FROM evil makes you "hide your sin". Godly shame makes you RUN to Jesus and CONFESS your sin. The longer you take to "confess", the happier evil is, as then it gets a "Stronghold" over you.

I now know that the vile evil, clearly was a Familiar Evil Spirit, that families unfortunately have, that travel down through a family's blood-line. Deuteronomy 5:9 "Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, VISITING the iniquity of the fathers UPON the children unto the THIRD and FOURTH GENERATION of them that hate me". Until a member of a family "cottons on" to the fact that, evil IS REAL and that the Holy Bible IS the TRUTH and learns how to "Cast OUT evil and REBUKE evil" IN the Name of Jesus - a family will be stuck with this evil. You MUST "BELIEVE" in what the Holy Scriptures instruct us to do, speak OUT ALOUD and FIGHT with FAITH. "... my children are destroyed for lack of knowledge". Fill yourself up with the knowledge of God.

You MUST study the scriptures, watch God.TV and/or similar God Programmes where Bible Teachers EXPLAIN and TEACH the Word of God. That is what happened to me. BUT note, evil WILL try and stop you, by "distracting" you in various ways - just be "aware of the devil's tactics". You HAVE to KNOW, understand and BELIEVE the Word of God, because evil will not give up easy and WILL put up a fight. I was physically attacked, literally. I was watching God.T.V. and trying to write down the name of a book by a Pastor was advertising. I was standing up and, suddenly my torso dropped forward in pain in my chest and could not breath properly - I cried out several times: "I plead the Blood of Jesus" and it stopped. Vile evil HAS to Bow to Jesus. The same thing happened the next morning. The evil also spoke to me in a vile voice, thereby, exposing itself because it was desperate to keep hold of me. TOO LATE, because Jesus already DELIVERED me. This evil continued to try and attack me for about 4 years in my dreams, when a person is at their weakest. BUT, I awoke and REBUKED the evil in the NAME of JESUS and it had to stop - I remained DETERMINED that evil was NOT going to "impress their vile desires" on me anymore.

ONLY Jesus CAN cast out evil. The Name of Jesus is a "Machine Gun" to evil - kills them quickly. It really works.

I still find this confusing and often think I am being punished by God because so many bad things happened to me. I think I must be a very bad person although all I want to do is help people. I repent every morning for whatever I’ve done the Day before in thought or word or deed. I asked God to tell me what to do and guide me. I find it hard to hear he’s still small voice telling me what to do and feel very alone. I give God all the praise and honour and glory. I love Jesus father God and the Holy Spirit. At the moment I am losing my Vision and I asked God to send me a miracle so that I don’t go blind. Because then I will be of no use to anyone and a burden to my family. I only have a daughter and a grandson I live in a retirement village Where there are very few Christians so I’m not really friends with any of them. It’s a lonely life that I put all my faith in God and thank him for all I have which is a lot more than what a lot of people have at least I have a roof over my head And I’ve saved money all my life so I can give others who are in need. I live in Perth W.A. Australia. I would love to speak to someone from your church about the things that trouble me. I’m 79 but still very young at Heart and still a little girl inside. I don’t like to think that there are evil spirits attacking us. I find this frightening my name is Rose Kailis. I read your verses every day. I don’t always understand them because the Bible has many layers and every word is important. My Bible study teacher died and I do miss What I used to learn from him. Thank you for listening to me. I would appreciate it if someone sent me an email or called me and talked to me, God bless you kind regards, Rose Kailis.

Dr Vincent Ntema Sazita also authored the book entitled: Is Jesus God?
The Bible makes it clear why God is sending a strong delusion in the end times: “They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness” (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12). Simply put, God sends a strong delusion to those who choose not to believe the gospel of Christ. Those who take delight in mocking and rejecting Him, He will condemn.

Can a human being really limit God to say that He does not send a spirit of delusion or an evil spirit? In the Garden of Eden, God created a tree of the knowledge of good and evil and that was before Evil was ever known on earth, but He created that tree and stated it as such for that purpose. Adam and Eve who were the first human beings on earth never knew evil and here the tree is introduced to them mentioning evil and indeed as they did not obey God and touched it and ate of that forbidden tree's fruit, here we are today, we can sense evil. My belief is that there is no way we can limit God and say that He cannot do that or that, then we make Him not capable of defusing or bringing an end to something or will not be able to control some things if that be the case. Which I strongly do not believe that God will ever fail to do what He wants to achieve with man. Here we have King Pharaoh of Egypt whose heart was hardened in order for God to make Himself known through him and this He did without anyone restraining Him. Whatever God has spoken with His own mouth, that He will do and let us not encourage people to see God as not doing whatever He said He did or would do then our trust and belief in Him would be doubtful and we do not condone that. King Saul rejected the Lord and He gave or allowed the evil spirit to taunt him. My interpretation is that God gave or allows is the same thing, because He is mentioned as the cause for giving or allowing. All we have to do is to respect whatever He does because He does it with a purpose that ends with goodness or favour on our side. Who can change those words if they come directly from the mouth of the Lord Himself and conveyed by His Holy Prophets and angels. No one has power to change that, we as human beings are created to fear God and give Him glory in whatever He does and whatever the circumstances coming in evil or good forms. We have to admit punishment for our stubbornness and believe in whatever He does to us because He is always right and that's it.

I was also on don't and was able to stop. What I did was ween myself down from it. I would take one submissive and day to myself that it must last me s week. I would break it up in small pieces to have for 7 days. The following week id say to myself I have 1 sub for 2 weeks and cut it into 14 small pieces.. You get the gist. Or may take a lil while power but in this manner you'll take a few weeks to get off without feeling sick. Although the about won't be sufficient depending on how many your doing or milligram... Your body will start adjusting. I won't lie you'll proberly feel the effect of the lesser quantity but not as bad as cutting off cold turkey.
Believe in yourself and make it happen I HAVE FAITH IN YOU.

Pastor Doug Batchelor,
My name is Dennis Lawson
I just read what you wrote about king saul, and Job.
Since January 1st 2016 and June 14th 2021 I have demons troubling me along with a Presence who claims to be The Holy Spirit leading me to change my life style and to witness to people about the SABBATH truth and The SDA Church to people in the public without the Adventist church support. He also wants me to go against The Holy Bible TRUTH and S.O.P TRUTH and get arrested for tax fraud that God claims I have done wrong before I was a Adventist Christian.
Would The Holy Spirit be with demons in my body and wittnessing at the same time.???
No Prayers change anything. God also has closed every door i needed open in the Wisconsin Conference Adventist church.
Please let me know as soon as possible.
Thank you 😊
Sincerely appreciate

Interesting study, thanks for sharing! Lord, I pray that I am able to withstand temptation and endure til the end! I am having trouble believing that the promises are for me. As a child I thought the promises were meant for everyone except me, as I am a bad child that was darker and not as pretty as the other family members, I thought I was cursed. I use to self sabotage my success because I felt unworthy and not good enough. I am now approaching sixty and just realized that the promises were meant for too. It’s not easy to change my self destructive thoughts. Lord please help me to heal and be good enough for the kingdom. In the name of Jesus Christ amen 🙏🏽 Please help me to finish all the unfinished projects🙏🏽

We just want to encourage you with this verse: The Bible tells us, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you." James 4:7, 8. This is the most proven formula for deliverance from evil. The main part of your effort should be focused on drawing near to God and submitting to Him. Then you will gain the strength you need,. When we commit ourselves fully to the Lord, He grants us His protective power through His grace. John 10: 28, 29 gives us a wonderful promise. The truth of the matter is that you did turn your life over to Christ, your salvation is secure in Him, and He is right by your side with more love and compassion than you can imagine, when your life is secure in Christ, there is nothing the devil can do to you.

The Bible says precisely what God means.

So: God sent an evil spirit.

God can do whatever He choses to do.

We are dust. It is not for man to question God's actions.

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things." Isaiah 45:7

God allowed evil, as He allows evil to surround us but, in His mercy and grace, He also allows these to teach us that He is our Refuge and Protector and Provider.

We must never forget the enemy whose name is Satan. He lurks unseen but his work is evident in all that surround us. He is allowed to tempt and distract us… for a time. A limited time. BUT, when we call upon the Lord God for His protection and mercy, he—the enemy— is defenseless against God who saves His children.

What the enemy uses for our destruction, our Merciful God and Savior uses for our construction. God allows evil to try His children through the fire of faith and loyalty, and gives strength for His children to overcome. Remember Daniel and the three young Hebrews. Remember Mary Magdalene with the seven demons. Oh, what faith and love for the Savior they had! And what manner of love Jesus gave them back!

Yes, God must allow evil to come. And because He has to allow them to come assail His children, He “sends” them. Because He is fair and just until the end (as this is His character), He must “send” them because He gives the permission for the enemy to work still. It is much like allowing all the evil in the world to co-exist with us still… until the time of Judgment. Is that not the Great Controversy?

For now, we need to call upon the LORD for His loving protection and shield against our enemy. Let us remember James 4:7-8 and the other verses in the Holy Scriptures to teach us about the providence of our God.

I, too, for some time have been disquieted by the term “He sends” but learning from the unified Word of God, through study with illuminating explanations of our fellow brothers and sisters in the faith (EGW, pastors, church brethren, friends), I have begun to understand the unity and consistency of God’s character.

So let’s pray and study continually the Holy Scriptures as these are our Creator’s love letters to us. These will help us get to know our Savior and His faithfulness to His promises. These words will illuminate our paths and give us the warm blanket of hope and mercy and love from our God as we tread the stony roads to get to the kingdom.

God IS good. All the time. He sends the answers to our questions in due time.

Blessings to you and us as we walk with Him…

Amen.

So what does that mean for the man who is being overtaken by the devil? I am tempted by the devil now and god doesn’t do anything about it. There is no hope of getting out. There is no medicine for my depression. I am under the devils control. God allowed it and will not do anything about it. I am trapped with no way out. The Bible clearly tells what Saul did as a result. He took his own life. It seems that god couldn’t save him in the end I guess I’m trying to figure out a way out of my demonic state

You may not be responsible for the state your in but you always have the choice to decide how you react. Every time your mind thinks evil and you go along with it, you make the choice to do further satan. You also have the choice to kick those thoughts out of your head and know they are lies. Choosing to accept them will lead you further into the depression and satan's greedy hands. As with saul, you have a choice. I'm 39, never a history of mental problems, I begged God to make me clean and had faith he would do so, right then I started to go into a manic episode which I now have been diagnosed as bipolar 1, they are severe and completely initiate my entire life every time it happens. It was the hardest time in my life, getting an attitude adjustment from God is very hard and very thorough. I could have chosen to blame God, for the misery that ensued. I saw it for what it was though and I thank God daily for it. It completely changed me for the better in all ways. I was a terrible person on the inside and I needed God's help to be able to see that and change it. God gives us the opportunity, if we choose to take it is up to us. God loves you enough to be working in your life daily and I don't believe anything will change for you until you change your responses to it. God is trying to show and teach you things for your benefit, the faster you learn them, the faster the lesson has to end. It starts with you changing your perception about it, don't let satan tell you any different, he will try on a minute by minute basis and the more times you don't believe his lies, the less he will attack you with them. It's a battle in your mind that you can win, it takes much effort. Picture in your mind a samurai warrior that is always on guard, when a bad thought comes in your mind, watch him cut it to bits, they will slowly stop coming. The thoughts need to be replaced, best way for that is read the bible, listen to a bible app, sermons and such. Fill your mind with God.

If you have sinned repent from heard truly and ask God for forgivenes. God will help, no doubt about that, Jesus Christ did owercomme sin and devil, so He can set you free; but you must ask again and again on your nees, and deliverens will comme for shure.

No, no, no. Please! Read your word. WHENEVER a person was repentant God always pulled them back into His embrace. The one prayer GOD always says YES to is when a repentant sinner turns from their sin and back to him. Saul REFUSED to turn back to God. Read closely. He was only sorry because he didn't want God to take his stuff. Not because he saw his sin clearly and wanted to be cleansed of it. Consider king Ahab. His sin was GREAT and even he, when going to God fully repentant was accepted back by God, his sins forgiven, and his punishment lessened. There is hope. As long as their is breath in your lungs there is always hope. Turn to God. Cry out to him. Ask him to forgive you and to empower you to believe. Most importantly read his Word. Faith comes from hearing that word. Read it

Demon possession and harassment is a very real thing, and there have been cases of so-called "Christians" being possessed and/or harassed by demons.  This usually occurs when a person has at one time accepted Christ, but then later has rejected the promptings of the Holy Spirit and has maintained some practice or habit out of line with God's teaching.  We need to be staying in God's love and resisting temptation and claiming His promises, if we come to the Lord and draw near to Him, He will draw near to us.  The Bible tells us, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you."  James 4:7, 8.  This is the most proven formula for deliverance from evil. I first learned of this passage recently, and having read (to the best of my poor ability) the Hebrew original and then Martin Luther's translation (which I can read fairly well) there can be little doubt that the "evil spirit" came from God. In English, the result was Saul "prophesying in the midst of the house." In Hebrew, the result is similar, using the word וַיִּ תְ נַבֵּ א, wih means, as far as I can tell, "to predict." It can also be translated as "to prophesy." But Luther has a completely different idea, writing that Saul "fell into a frenzy." The fact remains that the Lord sent or perhaps instigated the reaction in Saul--but was the spirit evil? In a way, it was. But I think it may mean that God used the spirit to work his will, which was that Saul's kingship was over and that God wanted David as king. It's absolutely fascinating, in any case.

God is the creator and originator of life. This is His world and He expects us to live under His rules if we love Him. He abhors sin and warned man that the penalty of sinning is death. God cannot live among sin and rebellion. He gave man, HIS creation, the freedom of CHOICE to return His love and walk with Him, or choose to walk against Him with Satan. God's love for man is so great that that He died to pay that sin debt. God is good and there is no evil in Him. Evil originated with Satan and he would love to overide God's authority by claiming allegience of you and me. But we make the decision. Walk with God or walk with Satan and suffer the penalties that Satan will bring on you.

I see how God killed many people in the Bible and even used his people to do it, which I don't fully understand as his commandment says Do not kill. However getting to my question to you. If all of this people were killed outright, why would God send a Fallen Angel that he kicked out of Heaven to Saul? He may have allowed that evil spirit but it states that God does Not do evil so using evil is doing evil, don't you think.

God created so He takes.....He owns everything....and can decide to take anyone's life if he pleases because He is God...if you have a problem with that then that's on you....but know that this life is borrowed from God

And ya know how we know? Some guys said so. And then, over the course of centuries, a bunch of religious leaders insisted that God inspired those guys. C'mon, that's rock solid!

To love God is to know God.
With that said, I believe that He punished Saul with that evil spirit. Remember, God has taken credit for everything good and bad in this world, that's what makes him so Great.
He says that if He made good, wouldn't it be accurate to say that he made evil?
I felt bad for Saul but Saul it coming.
God continues to show us his power, and people explain it away as if His power is unintentional. Sorry but, I am in agreement with God allowing that to happen to Saul. Fear God and obey him. The end. Period.

If saul would have been walking with God he would have been humble in recognizing his failures and knowing a new king annointed by God was to come , if walking w God he would have done everything in his power to help David succeed. He would have recognized 'a better man for the job' and submitted himself to Gods will.

I agree with Sandra below...God allows it...He does not bring it. People are free to deceive themselves.
James 1: 13, Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.

He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them .
Psalm 78:49 KJVA
"And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the Lord : I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. And the Lord said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ra´moth–gil´e-ad? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord , and said, I will persuade him. And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him , and prevail also: go forth, and do so. Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.

Hi all, i too am bothered reading this 1 Samuel passage including all the scriptures Hillary has shared as well as the others which some of you have shared. Now if the evil spirit is from God and when David played the harp, it departed from Saul, then wouldnt it be kind of maronic? God sent an evil spirit to torment Saul, David who loves God played the harp and drove the spirit away? It is like a kind of internal fight. Do you know the passage where Jesus rebuked the storm and it went all calm. So who sent the storm? The devil or His heavenly Father? If it is His Father, then Jesus and His Father were fighting each other? They are meant to be one. If it were the devil, then was God the Father in cahoots with the devil plotting against Jesus? No malice here. I am 100% convinced God is real and holy and loving, but i reflect so much over the scriptures sometimes i wonder if the translation from Greek and Hebrews is at all correct because scriptures should not conflict! Sounds like God is schzoprenic. 😩

This is a typical way how believers twist and turn what the Bible plainly states into a complitely different narrative that suits what they wish. The Bible is clear when it points out that the evil spirit was from God,and it's intention was to torment Saul. Believers are ready to accept and cheer on verses from the Bible that point out how God is good, but any verse contrary to that is is subjected to interpretations or turned into metaphors or idioms so that it completely loses it's original meaning. Apart from this verse, there are other verses in the Bible that point to the fact that God evil. Let the Bible speak for itself:
1 Samuel:16:15
And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
1 Samuel:16:16
...and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
1 Samuel:16:23
And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
1 Samuel:18:10
And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand.
2 Samuel:12:11
Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
2 Samuel:17:14
And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.
1 Kings:9:9
And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.
Judges:9:23
Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:
Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Lamentations:3:38
Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
Job:42:11
...and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him...
Exodus:32:14
And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
Deuteronomy:30:15
See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
Joshua:23:15
Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
Judges:2:15
Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had said, and as the LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed.

Simple question to ponder. Before Satan became Satan there was no other Satan, am I right. So where did the evil that made Satan Satan came from. If you can answer that you'll know that God is greater than our understanding. He is the author and creator of all things but He gives us instructions on how to live according to His infinite wisdom.
1 Cor 13:12 Now I see things in a glass, darkly;but then face to face. Now my knowledge is in part; then it'll be complete, even as God's knowledge of me.
Deuteronomy 29:29 The things that are not revealed to us belongs to God but those revealed are ours and our children to live by.
The Holy Spirit wrote the verses we're are arguing about so that we may know God that way and not the way we think or have been told He is.
He is greater and more complex that we can fathom.

Amen my Brother and lets not overlook ...
2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Psalm 78:49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

God gives authority to The adversary. He has good angles to his right and bad to his left. We reap what we sow.
The Holy Spirit, Gods life force, knows no evil.
Our body is a temple for the Holy Spirit. When we defile our temple in anyway physically or spiritually and do not atone for your sin or deny the father especially in those days before messiah; The Holy Spirit leaves and allows the adversary dominion over you.
This is why repentance is so important. Yeshua forgives all sin and acts as a conduit to the Holy Spirit.
With faith, repentance and discipline you can walk with the Holy Spirit and cast all the Evil spirits out of your life.
We are merely prisoners of our own devices. The lord of hosts knows we have been defiled sense eden and that defilement grows through out generations.
We are here to learn.
This is where we come to learn new songs for the end...
A bitter sweet symphony...
Hallelujah Yeshua Hallelujah Hallelujah Father Yeshua 🍷🥖👑🌬❤️🎶🎶🎶🔥🐍🐉

Thank you very much for that exposition! The very thought that preoccupied my mind while reading the twisted explanation was what you have just put across.
The bible did not make a mistake by Saying the evil spirit was from God! Why then would someone tel us to take our mind away from that portion of from God???
That someone does not yet have an explanation for any portion of the scriptures does not mean one should start twisting it. It is sacrilege to add or remove from it Deuteronomy 4:2.
John 1:3 shows clearly that nothing was made that was not made by God, in other words, nothing came into existence that was not brought into existence.
A father buy goodies kept at home for his children and also has cane to deal with their sturboness when they need to be sanctioned with it. By same token, Nebuchadnezzar went through a season of affliction from God at some point in his life.
Our God is not what can be fully comprehended and that is why we must continue to study the scripture and pray to learn and know His status further and refreshingly.

I don't think you are a believer, but if you are: When the Bible says that God hardened Pharaoh’s heart, then later says the devil hardened Pharaoh’s heart, then later that Pharaoh hardened his own heart, however we might understand these three distinct statements about the same event may certainly be applied to this story—it's not twisting and turning; it's called understanding the literature in the way the Jews understood it. And when the book of Job is entirely about a righteous character who believes God is doing something evil—but it is, in fact, God having given the devil permission to do what the devil wants to do, we can apply that lesson learned there to this story too. We can even learn this lesson from story of Israel and Babylon, when God says He'll kill but isn't the one who does the killing. "Letting the Bible speak for itself" is a way for non-believers to say that believers don't have a right to ratioanlly apply what we know about how the ancients understood these things to our understanding today. But we can. We have to. That's the whole point of not taking a superficial reading as gospel, as you're doing here. The context and theme of the Bible require more that "take it as it reads" about everything in Scripture.

God is a loving and good God, and he has no evil spirit to send upon anyone. The scripture clearly says in 1 Sam. 10:1 that Samuel poured the oil upon Saul and anointed him king over Israel. At this point the Spirit of the LORD was upon Saul. However, when Saul disobeyed Samuel the prophet and God, He chose another king named David. In 1 Sam. 16:13 we see that Samuel anointed David to be king and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. At the same time in verse 14, we see that the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil from the LORD troubled him (Saul). The evil spirit was not from the LORD as it appears in in this verse, but when the Spirit of the LORD departed form Saul, he was void of God's Spirit which left him open for the evil spirit of the devil. Now, the evil spirit of the devil would not have had any jurisdiction over Saul, if he had repented and pull out of his rebellion against God. The devil enters through open doors and Saul in his rebellion left the door open and the evil spirit of the devil took advantage of the open door. We must allow God to fill us with His Spirit and seek to remain habitually filled and there will be no room for the evil spirit of the devil to harm us.

Who owns both Jesus, you as a human and the devil?

Romans: 11. 36. For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

1 Corinthians: 8. 6. But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

1 Corinthians: 15. 27. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Ephesians: 3. 9. And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Ephesians: 1. 22. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

Colossians: 1. 16. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Colossians: 1. 17. And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Hebrews: 2. 8. Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

Hebrews: 2. 10. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Hebrews: 2. 17. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Revelation: 4. 11. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Don't forget that you yourself is owned but among all that he owns, he showed you the highest love by giving out other things he owns to either minister to you, restraint you, reprove you or punish you, (including both Jesus and the other spirits that are being discussed here). Some of us don't know that when God punishes you, it is actually because he loves you and whatever that punishment is, can be called evil because punishment is never gracious but is tormenting and 'hard on such' as evil, but it is to the end that you repent which entails love or pay for your wrongs which entails judgement. If he ever punishes you because you offended His instruction, he wrecks evil upon such to the end that you don't take him for granted again eg. David numbering the Israelites and Saul sparing the king of Amalek, even Nebuchadnezzar, but when he punishes you because of unrighteousness, he wrecks evil upon such to the end that such might even be destroyed (Sodom and Gomorrah), it is just at his mercy after several warnings and repentance that can spare such (Nineveh), then if he punishes you because you are literally against his will and after his own beloved to destroy him (that is wickedness), his highest mercy can only come to you in the form as it came to Paul along the Damascus road (no one kicks against the pricks), if not, all that is left for such person is judgement as he did to Pharaoh, Sodom and Gomorrah and the Amalekites that Saul was instructed to go and slay.
In which ever one, all we should consider is, to what intent was the evil he wrought. He is the father of spirits both our own spirits, his own spirit and the devil himself as a spirit, and whoever owns anything has every right and liberty to use what he has for any purpose he so wishes.

Al, you get it! If God is withdrawn from us because of our unrepentant sin, once the Holy Spirit is departed from you, satan will enter into you. That is why it is so important to constantly be in prayer and asking for forgiveness for things we do seen and unseen, known and unknown. God isn't gonna discard us, but if we fail to come to him and repent, he can not dwell in an unclean vessel, our body, the temple! Why folks think that God who is Love would send an evil spirit upon anyone is insane! God removes himself and satan is the one whom brings the evil spirit! It's like an umbrella! God puts an umbrella of protection over us, we make a choice to stay under it or to come out from underneath of it. He is always there waiting for us to return! It's simple, repent, pray, communicate and he shall direct your paths. But bottom line is we have a choice, this is what makes us different than Angel's even. You can only serve one Master at a time!

Confusion, so you mean while Gods spirit was on saul, yet still he was able to sin (Disobeyed God and samuel) . From the verse God spirit left him when David was anointed? So until David annointing, God's spirit was with Saul whiles he is sining?

God's Spirit convicts us of our sin but doesn't prevent us from sinning (David v. Bathsheba v.her husband). Christians on earth are becoming more like Christ through sundry means of the Holy Spirit. In our failings, we may sin, but we should also expect rebukes. God knows everything and is infinitely patient with us. David came back at God's rebuke. We know Saul lied and tried to justify himself. The evil spirit that went out of God's presence to Saul is comparable to the type Christ warned his listeners of what happens when a demon is cast from an impenitent. Saul did not repent but hardened his heart, effectively rebelling against God.

Every spirit is under God's control.
God Really "DOES" Send Evil Spirits they can't do as they wish..
they are commanded sent forward under God's sovereign authority.
2 Chronicles 18:21 Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD and said, 'I will entice him.' And the LORD said to him, 'How?' 21"He said, 'I will go and be a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.' Then He said, 'You are to entice him and prevail also. Go and do so.

The horses from revelation simply gives an overview of the period in which the church existed. The white horse simple represented the early church shortly after Jesus ascended unto heaven leaving the apostles it is the church period during the Church of Ephesus it was young and fully converted to the Gospel and corruption had not yet started creeping in. red horse represented the time where christians were serverely persecuted this is the church period of Smyrna pergamos is the church period that started to compromise this is during the coversion of Constantine to christianity corruption started creeping in in the full force some compromised because they did not want to go through persecution again and simple christianity was traded for baptsised paganism in that the church compromised so as to attract more believers by marryin the two religions paganism and christianity that is when pagan idols werre baptised christian names like Hermes go of love to the greek became baby Jesus Ashera persent day Venus/ Aphrodite became Mary mother of God and so on pagan forms of worship were adopted into christianity that is the grey horse
The black horse marks the period in which people had become extremely superstitious in that the bible was totally abandoned in that it was obsured this is the rein of the Papal supremacy of the dark ages till reformation began in the middleages this is the period of 1260 years of papal supremacy from 538AD- 1798 when it lost its authority. this is actually the period in which the old and new testament ( the two witnesses)prophesied in sackcloth that is in obsurity.
