On April 21, 22, 2023, Amazing Facts held a two-day revival event to a packed audience in the Granite Bay Hilltop Seventh-day Adventist Church that created a need for overflow parking. Holding the Line: Standing for Truth in a Culture of Compromise featured five inspiring speakers who boldly addressed areas of drift in the church.
Guest speaker James Rafferty, Director of Discipleship Ministry for 3ABN, kicked off the event on Friday evening with “The Mission of the Remnant,” followed by Clifford Goldstein, Editor of the Adult Sabbath School Quarterly, who spoke on “1844 Made Simple.” On Sabbath morning, Pastor Doug Batchelor, President of Amazing Facts International, presented “The Cornerstone of Creation,” followed by Elder Ted Wilson, President of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, whose sermon was titled, “God’s Holy Word, His Spirit of Prophecy, and His Mission.”
After a large group of volunteers served lunch to over 1,000 guests, the afternoon program began with Goldstein speaking on “The Gospel and the Judgment,” followed by Risë Rafferty, from 3ABN Health Ministries, who addressed, “The Hal Thing: A comprehensive, holistic, innovative, evidence-based, cutting-edge health message.” A panel discussion concluded the afternoon meetings.
The inspiring meetings were broadcast on AFTV, 3ABN, It Is Written, YouTube, and Facebook. The first two programs on Sabbath morning were translated into Spanish with over 40,000 viewing on Facebook and YouTube.
Elder Ted Wilson, who was accompanied by his wife Nancy, toured the Amazing Facts campus, and spoke appreciatively of the worldwide evangelistic work of the ministry. Pastor Doug said the president and his wife were “deeply impressed by the warm, kind reception from everyone.” He adds, “The Lord abundantly blessed our Holding the Line event.”
Many viewers expressed thanks for the weekend event and wished for more presentations by the speakers. Guests shared that the summit strengthened their resolve to stand for God’s unchanging Word.
