Amazing Facts International Receives Two NRB Awards

Every year, the National Religious Broadcasters holds the largest convention in the field of Christian media. From June 21 to 24, 2021, the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, hosted 5,000 attendees, 200 exhibitors, and a long list of featured speakers, including former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Kelly Shackelford, CEO of non-profit First Liberty Institute, a legal organization known for its defense of religious liberty.

After the month of May saw COVID-19 cases drop nationwide and the state of Texas itself boasted no new deaths from the virus, the convention center allowed NRB 2021 participants to gather in person under relaxed guidelines.

On the first day of the convention, June 21, Amazing Facts International was presented with Best Television Program of the Year for Kingdoms in Time, an hour-long documentary on the actual historical fulfillment of the most significant Bible prophecies. The award was accepted by producer and director Wayne Leman. “It’s an honor to be a part of an organization that brings the gospel to millions of people around the world through media,” said Leman.

According to Pastor Doug Batchelor, president of Amazing Facts, the award is not a means to receive the acclaim of the world or fellow Christians—rather, it will lead to even more opportunities to spread the full three angels’ messages far and wide. More people will hear about Amazing Facts programs, and that means more souls will hear the everlasting gospel. Pastor Doug shares, “We give all the glory to God, and I am equally grateful for our ministry friends who support this vital work with their giving and prayers.”

In addition, NRB’s own news release highlighted the work of the ministry: “Through television, radio, websites, publishing, live evangelistic and revival events, Bible schools, and more, Amazing Facts has been reaching the farthest reaches of the globe with life-transforming Bible truth—teaching people about Jesus.”

Then, on the last day of the convention, Amazing Facts was one of several ministries to receive a Special Service Award. Given in recognition of the ministry’s 55 years of “exemplary service in Christian broadcasting,” the Milestone Award was accepted by Pastor Doug on behalf of the ministry. A minute-long video compilation of Amazing Facts over the years, from 1965 until now, was also shown, touching on its beginnings as a radio program with founder Joe Crews to its expansion into television and beyond to its burden to equip others to preach the life-giving gospel. The audience got a glimpse of the global reach of its evangelistic series, its prolific sharing materials, and even its Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism courses.

Today, because of the faithful giving of ministry friends, God has grown Amazing Facts into an international and multifaceted evangelistic ministry—and He is not stopping. As the signs of the times increase and Christ’s second coming approaches ever more rapidly, Amazing Facts continues to dedicate its all to the broadcast of the everlasting gospel to the very ends of the earth.

Thank you for all you do to make this possible!
