My church preaches, God has blessed Easter day and took his blessings away from his sabbath day, because Jesus resurrected on the 1st day of the week. According to king James and American standard bible, Matthew 28,Jesus was resurrected on the sabbath, the earliest account there was an earthquake the angel came down, the stone was rolled back and the angel said I know you came to see Jesus, he is not here, he has risen come see where he was layed. JESUS is in galilee....do we believe Gods angel or mans traditions ....Jesus foretold as Jonah, 3days and 3 nights he would be in the grave, 72hrs,Jesus is precisely truth. Good Fridays tradition is not what the scripture tells us. In the passover week Gods word show's us Wednesday late, just before the dawning of Thursday Jesus was in the grave, that Thursday was a Hi Sabbath, Passover. The next day Friday, the only non holy day between the 2 Sabbaths,Mary and the other Mary bought spices. The following day weekly Sabbath, Jesus resurrected before the dawning of the 1st day of the week! As he promised. No where has God,because of mans believe or traditions has blessed Easter because of their false belief in the day of our lords resurrection.pray and ask for his truth. My preconceived beliefs that I have been taught, sometimes they were not from our heavenly father. Please let me know how you feel about this. May God bless us in learning and doing his work.

1- the devil is an idea not a person. The devil is mentioned in the poem of Genesis and Job and only a handful of other places- it is not a literal devil - have a look . It is better to see satan and devil as the natural thoughts we all have of "power over others" "independence from God" "our pleasure at others cost". Jesus had to deal with these thoughts like us - he was that human.
2 the sabbath is man made. Like wise with sacrifices - God never asked for them, and he never asked for a temple, law, priests, kings, or even worship.
Have a good look at what the prophets said- its not just my idea! Humans created these religious things - all civilisations and cultures created them similarly. Study ancient mesopotamia and the near east areas. Now what is left? God wants your heart not your sacrifices, God wants you to stand up for the oppressed, to love mercy and to Follow him in loving others. The sabbath is not Gods - it is the hebrew peoples. Jesus trampled it. Having a day of rest is a great idea it aknowledges we are not just ants gathering food, but are in the image of God - ie have a given consiouseness, and responsibility for actions. Have a day of rest or two any day of the week - God won't mind. Leaving jewish law behind is always a good idea - from preists, to sacrifices, to circumcision, to stonings, to forbiden foods, temple rituals, sexist rules, and rules discriminating against the handicaped, a disregard for other cultures, an unhealthy religious pride in being chosen by God - and having a 'holy city', a celebrated past of 'God ordained' genocide, violence in the name of God, a general unforgiving nature (davids psalms). Jesus really while launching from the jewish world - spoke to the entire world, speaking against the man made traditions that hold people back from the Kingdom -
that is living with God- Gods way.

Yikes, dude, you're lost. The Word of YHVH is spirituality discerned. If you are serious, genuinely humble your heart and ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. He will once again open blind eyes and GLORIOUSLY change your life, HalleluYAH!

the devil is happy when people say he doesnt exist and even happier when we trample on Gods laws

My friend, the devil is indeed a being, not merely an idea. When Jesus was in the wilderness of temptation as chronicled in Matthew chapter 4 He was dialoguing with an actual living being, not an idea.
The devil would be pleased for us to believe that he doesn't exist. We would more readily fall into the traps of an enemy that we do not believe is there.
Regarding the Sabbath, according to the Scriptures the seventh day was set aside by God Himself during the creation week. Jesus never trampled it, He merely swept aside the man-made additions to it which the Pharisees had added which made it a burden instead of a blessing.

The main reason that people ignore the Sabbath is simple, they are not born again and therefore do not have God's spirit to guide them into all truth.

Can't they be born again just not looking for that truth or realizing that there is absolute truth?

@Kwinsei: Don't you think the tone of your language is a bit too strong?
4. And lastly, because they consider it too great a cost to leave their past lives behind i.e. they want to feel belonged - especially to the masses!

  1. Because the devil has blinded their eyes and shut out their ears from hearing the truth.
  2. Because the truth exposes the "dark errors" of the people.
  3. Because the people aren't too willing to admit their wrong sometimes
  4. And lastly, because they consider it too great a cost to leave their past lives behind i.e. they want to feel belonged - especially to the masses!

I agree, his tone seems to lack love and compassion. However, his points are valid.
Your points seem incomplete.

  1. The devil blinded their eyes because they want him to or rather they allowed him too.
  2. They don't want to hear the truth that exposes the dark errors.
  3. People don't want to admit they're wrong out of pride which is their own choosing.
  4. They consider it too great a cost because they value the worlds friendship more than God's love.
All these points are their own choices, the devil isn't to blame. He is just giving them what they want. So Kwinsei's points are correct.

Why do people shun away when you speak about the truth?

Most people don't really want the truth. they just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.
Most people aren't even aware of their need to conform. They live under the illusion that they follow their own ideas and inclinations. That they are individualists, that they have arrived at their own opinions as a result of their own thinking and that it just so happens that their ideas are the same as those of the majority.

That's because the people who shun away are under the spirit of the Devil! They don't want to hear the truth, they are ignorant, and they blaspheme the teachings of the Bible! Matthew 22:29 reads, in King James Version, "Jesus answered and said to them, 'Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God."
