Scripture: Malachi 4:5, Luke 3:1, 1 Kings 18:44-46

This sermon focuses on the ministry of John the Baptist who went before the Lord to prepare people for Christ's first coming. Like Elijah who ran before Ahab's chariot, so John went ahead of Christ. In the same way that these Old Testament characters prepared the way for Christ's first coming, so we are to be modern-day voices to prepare people for Jesus 2nd coming.
