The Mark of the Beast

Scripture: Revelation 13:1-18
This lesson focuses on Revelation 13 and two beasts (the Roman Catholic Church and the United States). First, the beast that gives the mark is described. This power was both religious and political. This power claims to have the ability to forgive sin. It had power for 1260 years. This power also claims to change the Sabbath commandment. The mark of the beast is not some physical stamp, it is a choice to turn away from God's commandments.
