We are naturally selfish and must learn self-discipline to change the direction and focus of your life to put God and others first - above possessions, our position, our pleasures. Some think the Christian slogan is “Just Don’t Do It” but self-denial without love is legalism. Done in love for God, His spirit will give us the power to deny self.
