Undaunted by Barriers

Despite the many obstacles to outreach caused by the ongoing pandemic, our PAFCOE team remains undaunted. While the lockdowns have shut many doors to live, in-person evangelism, the leaders, teachers, and students have developed new ways to keep spreading the gospel.

Prophecies of Hope

This past summer, PAFCOE held a virtual evangelistic seminar titled Prophecies of Hope. Conducted by the director of PAFCOE, Kevin Pingol, the meetings were produced by Amazing Facts Philippines Media and were streamed online by the Manila Center Media. It was also made available on Zoom by the Southern Asia Pacific Division Youth Department and could be watched on YouTube and Facebook. Stay tuned for more reports on this creative form of outreach by PAFCOE!

Online Student Testimonies

One of the key purposes of PAFCOE is to train students to share the gospel with their communities. Since the pandemic has made face-to-face training a challenge, the team moved training online. Here are just a few of the student testimonies we received after completing their virtual school of evangelism—praises that ascend to heaven because of your support!

“I took this course just to get some ideas on how to start sharing Bible doctrines. But along the way, I found myself immersed throughout the lessons. I enjoyed each topic! I guess regardless we feel unworthy or unready to offer Bible studies, we just need to be led by the Holy Spirit and not resist. Praise God who is all-merciful! He never gives up on anyone.” —Eric

“This course led me to a realization that each of us can do God’s work. So, we must equip ourselves in the right way to reach souls efficiently. Thank you so much, PAFCOE, for giving me a chance to learn important lessons on how to give Bible studies. With God’s help, the Holy Spirit’s leading, and with the knowledge I gained from this course, I will be able to engage in God’s work.” —Ramwil

“This course is great! Thank you, PAFCOE. Despite the distance, I can still enroll and be part of the Amazing Disciples class. This is a big help; it especially taught me how to be an amazing disciple to the people around me.” —Joan

“I praise the LORD for having enrolled in this course. Truly, this has been an answered prayer. I will continue to pray as I read the materials and learn how to apply them to my Bible students in the future.” —Abigail

“I have learned a lot of spiritual truths and practical methods on how to win souls. It’s more than what I expected! Kevin was able to clearly present all the topics. All the materials are informative. I hope and pray that God sustains the ministry.” —Rosemarie

Thank you for supporting PAFCOE! The full results of your prayers and sacrificial gifts will be known only in heaven, when we meet the many grateful souls that you helped lead into God’s eternal kingdom.

Back in God’s Fold

Ginalyn shares that her spiritual life was dead. “I was a worldling,” she admits. Though the 38-year-old married woman grew up in the Sabbath-keeping church, she was not living according to the truth. Her home was unhappy, her marriage strained, and her temper out of control.

But Ginalyn felt the call of heaven to get right with God. For 20 years, she looked for a church that keeps the Sabbath in her town but failed to find one. One day, she discovered a store near where she lived that was closed on Saturdays. She discovered the owners were Sabbath-keepers who attended church in another town. They offered to take her to church.

Each Sabbath, Ginalyn and her daughter attended worship. The church elders arranged for her to take Bible studies through an online app with the guidance of Hillary, an Amazing Facts digital evangelist. “The studies are so clear,” Ginalyn shares. “I understood everything that was presented.”

Her life began to change as she grew in Jesus. Her husband even quit smoking and drinking. Now she shares her faith with her family and friends. Ginalyn is so appreciative of the support you give PAFCOE and its many passionate workers. “Above all,” she writes, “I praise God for not giving up on me.”

Planting a Pandemic Church

Archie graduated from PAFCOE in 2013. He was recently invited to plant a church under the Central Luzon Conference. When he began his work in Bago Bantay, he discovered that PAFCOE had once done outreach in the village and that some in the community had been baptized. But over time, that group of believers had stopped meeting.

With some investigative work, Archie was able to reconnect with many of these backslidden members and began encouraging them to come together again for worship and Bible studies. Many began to meet with him—but then the pandemic struck. Everything was shut down; people were afraid to meet.

Archie worked diligently to set up online meetings. He used the Amazing Facts Storacles of Prophecy lessons for Bible study. Over time, the group continued to grow and began conducting outreach events. When pandemic rules loosened, members began meeting together, reaching out to neighbors with food and praying with them.

God has blessed Archie and his team. They keep growing and are now moving to raise funds to build a new church in Bago Bantay. He shares, “A huge thanks to PAFCOE for the pioneering work in Bago Bantay and for leading me to the people there.” He is also thankful for all the evangelistic materials from Amazing Facts made available to him.

God is using your gifts to make a powerful difference in communities like Bago Bantay, spreading the light of truth to grow His eternal kingdom.

Please remember our PAFCOE team as they continue to creatively share Christ with their communities. Your much-needed support will help their outreach develop into a clarion call to the searching people of this beautiful island nation.
