Can you explain deuteronomy 12:15 about able to eat the clean and unclean meat thereof?

Paragraph 8 should read "Incidentally, this post-diluvian per-mission to eat even the un-clean animals produced an interesting phenomenon."

Thank you for your comment, Jeremiah. However, we believe the paragraph is written correctly—that is, even though mankind was permitted by God to eat clean animals, we see a decline in lifespan. God bless!

Thank you for reviewing that comment. I misunderstood the statement thinking that we were permitted to eat the clean animals before the flood. I did not understand per-mission. The hyphen must have thrown me off. I was thinking of the meaning of per-mission as an individuals' mission to eat the unclean meat caused all of us to have the shortened lifespan, but that is incorrect thinking too. God did clarify in Genesis 6:3 "And the LORD said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh; yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years." It was not until Genesis 6:13 that God notified Noah that he would destroy the earth, "And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth." In Genesis 7:2 the LORD said "Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female." The knowledge and eating of clean animals appears to have existed before the flood.
