Multiplying the Message in China

China is not an easy place to share the gospel. The government’s restrictions make it impossible to safely print materials locally. Religious activities are scrutinized, and persecution is normal. Posting Amazing Facts’ Chinese materials on social media can get you in trouble.

The incredible thing is that more and more Chinese are boldly reposting the content you help us create on their social media accounts—and the views on their social accounts are taking off! One Amazing Facts video on one person’s social media account received 13,695 “likes” and comments and was shared 7,121 times. Praise God!

Do you see what God is doing? He is multiplying the impact of the 250 Chinese videos you helped create by emboldening believers to share them personally with their friends and family. One Chinese man said, “I saw a sermon by Pastor Doug on Douyin (Chinese TikTok) and thought it was very good. So, I looked everywhere and finally found the Chinese Amazing Facts website. I have been watching, listening, and seeing my confusion and doubts resolved. Thank you!”

That’s not all. Over the past four months, you helped translate into Chinese five videos on receiving a new heart and John the Baptist and five sermons on topics including spiritism, fasting, and keeping the law. You also translated four chapters of Pastor Doug’s book Who Do You Think You Are? You have made all these materials available online on the Chinese Amazing Facts website.

God is bringing the Chinese to these timely, truth-filled resources. Over the past three months, 215,896 people found life-changing truth on the Amazing Facts Chinese websites. Many of them came back multiple times. Currently, 4,390 people are enrolled in the Chinese online Bible school, and 1,188 individuals have graduated.

Our real-time online chat feature continues to be popular. You helped answer Bible questions from 4,324 people over the past four months. Many of these dear souls asked multiple questions and had extensive conversations with us about faith and the Christian lifestyle.

There is no way of knowing all the answers to your prayers in China, but the reports we hear are encouraging. We know of 11 people who started keeping the Sabbath during the past four months and 9 who have begun attending a Sabbath-keeping church. Another nine individuals wanted to be connected with a local church, but sadly, there is no church in their area at this time. Please pray for them to stay strong in their faith even though they must stand alone.

Your co-laboring gifts are crucial in expanding this life-changing work and helping more people in China experience the blessings of living by God's commandments. Thank you for letting God use you.

Sister Xu

Sister Xu first met Jesus while working at a clothing factory in Fiji. Her faith grew, and she experienced great joy and peace when she believed in Jesus. However, when she returned to China, she struggled to find a church family and was often confused as she read the Bible. Why didn’t people keep all of God’s commandments? she wondered.

Then COVID came, and with it, your answer to her prayers. She found the Chinese Amazing Facts website and was immediately attracted by its clear, biblical messages. She then completed two of the online Bible courses you helped create. “It felt like I was discovering great treasure!” she says. Her excitement bubbled over, and she started sharing it with her Christian friends. Sadly, it didn’t take long for her to be condemned as a “heretic.”

Despite the persecution, Sister Xu decided to close her garment factory on Sabbath. “It was hard at first, but ever since I decided to keep the Sabbath, the Lord has blessed us,” she reports. “God gave me a large factory with several rooms and has grown my workforce to several dozen employees.”

The factory has also become a place of worship. Sister Xu and six other persecuted sisters gather there each Sabbath to worship and praise the Lord safely. “We all have carefully studied the Bible, so we insist on keeping the Sabbath,” she adds. “I have finished my study in online Bible school, and other sisters are also studying now. I believe the Holy Spirit leads us to know the truth. Thank you, Chinese Amazing Facts!”

Sister Cheng

Sister Cheng grew up in a difficult home with a short-tempered father and a resentful mother. Like so many in China, she had no idea that God loved her and could save her from her sins. But we praise God because you make it possible for millions like Cheng to meet our loving heavenly Father for themselves.

At age 20, Cheng’s boyfriend introduced her to the gospel, but she was uninterested. Several years later, her husband’s aunt introduced her to the gospel again. She attended church occasionally, but her heart remained closed and skeptical.

One day, while listening to testimonies at church, Cheng prayed, “If you really exist, can you help me find a job? I want to see proof.” Miraculously, she secured a position at a job fair the next day. “I had a hard time believing it,” she says, “but from then on, I began attending church enthusiastically.”

Cheng was baptized a year later, but trials quickly piled up, and her faith wavered. Twenty years passed while her children grew up, and God was far from her mind. Then, last year, Cheng returned to church and began searching for Bible study materials online. That’s when she discovered the Chinese Amazing Facts website that you and your gifts created.

Pastor Doug’s sermons resonated deeply with her. Then she saw a sermon on the Sabbath. “My first reaction was to avoid the question,” she says, “because the church teaches that keeping the Sabbath is heresy, and I accepted what the church said without studying it for myself. But I couldn’t get the website out of my mind, so I finally decided to listen to Pastor Doug’s sermon on the Sabbath. After listening carefully, I found that it was not complicated at all. God’s Word has never changed, so why has the fourth commandment changed? Why is the mention of the Sabbath considered a bad thing?”

Cheng started keeping the Sabbath at home while attending Sunday church. She also started reading more challenging books, such as Revelation, Isaiah, and Daniel. “The characters in the Bible now seem real to me, and I see in their lives lessons God wants to teach me. Since I found the Amazing Facts Chinese website, I have become increasingly interested in learning God’s Word and obeying His will.”

Your faithful co-laboring gifts for China have connected Cheng with a Sabbath-keeping church in a neighboring city. Please pray for her and the many like her who are committed to keeping God’s holy day but cannot easily fellowship with other Sabbath-keepers. Pray that God will use Sister Cheng to bring light to her community!

 Brother Gui

Brother Gui grew up attending Sunday school but had let Christianity take a back seat in his life—until God answered your prayers for him!

He says, “I’ve recently become very interested in information about the end of the world. I found the Amazing Facts videos online while looking for information on Revelation because I suddenly felt that the end of the world was much closer than I had thought. Your videos and information in English opened my eyes to the meaning of the empires in Daniel chapter 2. I was also surprised to learn that the Holy See is the Antichrist. I wanted to translate the videos and share them with others. But then I discovered you have a Chinese version of the English videos. So, I sent them to my good friends, including the truth about hell, the millennium, and modern Babylon.”

Gui also discovered the videos God used you to provide him on the Sabbath commandment, which he says are “logical and truthful.” He has since begun keeping the Sabbath even though his friends disagree. Please pray that Gui will stay strong in his newfound faith!

Thank you for faithfully investing in Amazing Facts’ Chinese evangelism work. Your caring gifts are showing many precious Chinese people the importance of keeping God’s commandments as they prepare for heaven!

Please pray earnestly that the Holy Spirit guides the thousands of people who have visited the website and chosen to obey God’s commandments. Pray they remain firm in their faith and become bright lights for Jesus. Also, please pray that the Holy Spirit leads more searching people to our Chinese websites and Bible school.
