Planting Seeds for Eternity

Spring is a time for planting. Here in California, we are tucking tiny seeds into the damp earth and waiting eagerly for them to transform into productive plants. God is now bringing a spiritual spring to China, and we are so thankful that you are scattering seeds of truth across that vast country.

We’re already seeing the truth bear fruit in thousands of hearts. People like Sister Tang, whom you will read about in this report, are allowing God’s Word to take root deep in their hearts. They are eagerly accepting the truth about the Sabbath, prayer, and healthful living. Their lives are being transformed as they turn away from the emptiness of life without God and discover the joy of our Savior’s love. Indeed, your sacrificial giving is bearing eternal fruit!

You have helped create four new culturally sensitive evangelism videos, two new sermons, and even a truth-filled book for young people—all available online. Though we cannot openly promote them, the Holy Spirit is answering your prayers by leading people directly to these resources and online Bible schools. Over the past three months, 224,232 people found life-changing truth on our websites, many coming back multiple times and staying longer. The number of people enrolling in and graduating from our online Bible schools is steadily increasing. Praise God!

We are now also offering real-time online chat. You helped answer Bible questions that came in from 5,212 people over the past three months! Many of these people asked multiple questions and had extensive dialogue with us about faith and Christian lifestyle.

There is no way of knowing the full impact of your prayers on the people of China, but the few reports we hear warm our hearts. We know of 23 people who have been baptized, 19 who have started keeping the Sabbath, and 21 who have begun attending a local Sabbath-keeping church.

Thank you for letting the Holy Spirit work through you to reach the people of China!

Sister Tang

Sister Tang didn’t learn that Jesus is the Creator until she was a young adult, but when she did, her heart immediately reached out to Him in faith and trust. A friend gave her a Bible, “which I hardly read, but which I treasured,” she says.

She began attending Bible meetings in her friend’s home, but Satan was quick to attack. Each week, her son would come down with a high fever on the day of the Bible meetings. Sister Tang’s mother begged her to stop attending. “Look what you are doing to your son!” she scolded.

Sister Tang knew little about prayer but began praying earnestly for her son’s healing. “Something miraculous happened,” she remembers. “When I touched his face, it was no longer hot or red. I know the Lord healed him. After that, I went to the meeting, and nothing like that happened to my son again.”

At first, Sister Tang couldn’t make sense of what she read in the Bible. But she was determined to know God, so she started reading Genesis. One day, she read the Ten Commandments. “I didn’t understand how important they were,” she says. “But I really wanted to keep them from the bottom of my heart.”

Questions about the way of salvation gathered in Sister Tang’s mind. Then, someone posted a link to one of Pastor Doug’s sermons. Sister Tang thoroughly enjoyed the message but didn’t know where to find more of his sermons. She began to pray that God would provide the answer. Eventually, the Holy Spirit led her to the Chinese Amazing Facts website, and she started watching many of the sermons you help provide.

“The first time I heard Pastor Doug preach, I was hooked,” says Sister Tang. “I saw the truth in him and that he was very gracious. We’re not family, but I feel we are like family. I feel so close to the Chinese Amazing Facts team that when I communicate with you, I can’t help but burst into tears.”

Sister Tang began to wonder which day was the Sabbath. She kept both Saturday and Sunday holy for a time since she wasn’t sure. To get an answer, she utilized our real-time chat feature on a Friday. She went to bed pondering the answer she had received. Throughout the night, a gentle voice whispered in her ear, “Tomorrow is the Sabbath.”

Thank you for being a part of helping Sister Tang gain a fuller understanding of truth! She says, “I prayed that God would lead me on the path of eternal life and show me the way. From the beginning until now, I have never doubted the Bible or my choice to follow God. My heart is steadfast. I know that I will do whatever God leads me to do. He has brought all truth and light to me. In the five years since I believed in the Lord, I have experienced His leadership and help every step of the way, as well as His countless grace. Hallelujah!”

Brother Ren

One year ago, Brother Ren wrote to tell us that he had been baptized and begun keeping the Sabbath. We were thrilled but heard nothing more from him until he requested a printed copy of the book of Shadows of Light. We directed him to the digital version online since China prohibits the printing of religious books.

He wrote back to our internet evangelist the next day. “I loved reading Pastor Doug’s book so much. Now that I have it, I’m so happy!”

He continued, “It is always a joy to communicate with you. And I am even more joyful in studying Pastor Doug’s materials. I love Pastor Doug’s sermons so much, and I look forward to his new sermon being updated and uploaded soon. God be with Pastor Doug!”

Sister Zhang

Sister Zhang grew up attending church with her grandmother. She was baptized at age 10 but understood little of what it means to be a Christian. As a young adult, she attended church only occasionally and lived like an unbeliever.

All that began to change when Sister Zhang found the Chinese Amazing Facts website and decided to follow the Lord again. She started attending church, joined the youth group, and began studying the Bible regularly. She moved out of her fiancé’s home and was rebaptized. He soon followed her example—finding the lifesaving truth you helped provide and giving his life to Christ. The couple married and is now joyfully serving God together!

Thank you for making the Amazing Facts Chinese website and its one-on-one ministry possible. Your caring gifts are planting seeds of faith. Though we may not see all the answers to your prayers being answered openly, we are confident that God is watering those seeds and that an abundant harvest will be gathered at the soon coming of Jesus!

Please continue to pray earnestly for the Holy Spirit to nurture the faith of each person who has visited the website and interacted with the Amazing Facts evangelism team in China. Also, please pray that the Holy Spirit leads many more to our websites and Bible school so they can learn the truth.

Amazing Facts is a non-profit, donor-supported ministry.
We greatly appreciate your prayers and financial support.
