Good morning team, and Happy Sabbath!

Sister White in The Great Controversy, chapter 29 (The Origin of Evil)*** states that

"Nothing is more plainly taught in scripture than that God was in no wise responsible for the entrance of sin; that there was [nothing] ... that gave occasion for the uprising of rebellion".

From my understanding, sin is evil and of darkness. Sister White also made it known that her writings point to the greater light, which is the Bible.

However, in Isaiah 45:7 it reads

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." (KJV)

Given that God's Word bears supreme authority, I am forced to accept it over that statement by Sister White, which creates a conundrum for me now, per 2 Chronicles 20:20, which reads in part

"... Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper." (KJV)

This is the ONLY thing of Sister White that I reject, because it conflicts with what the Bible plainly states, and the KJ version is the only version that I read and trust.

Thus, my confusion. I want to believe and not contend with God over this matter (see Isaiah 45:9), because this one is most dangerous, saying that He created evil- something I did not dare to believe, until I read that He himself had said it before Isaiah. Now I am sorely troubled!

Sincerely

Ricardo O. Leslie

PS I am not writing to create dissension, for I truly am seeking answers to be at peace with God, while believing ALL of His prophets.

*** I do not know the page, as I listen to the audio version via YouTube, though I think it may be on page 879.

I need an answer to a question someone asked me. If Adam and Eve are the beginning of mankind; and they had 2 sons, Cain and Abel. After Cain killed his brother Abel, how is it possible when Cain left he found a wife. Were there other beings somewhere on the earth?
If that is the case, Adam and Eve would not be the first. Can you explain this to me?
