Explain the Trinity?

Scripture: Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:13-14, Matthew 3:16-17
Could you explain the trinity? There are many references in the Bible to three distinct beings, yet they are described as one. Just as a husband and wife are one.

We teach of the union of three persons in one Godhead, maintaining that there are three spirits, each of which is a true Deity (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit), but which, when united, constitute only one God. This is human madness and the greatest absurdity. There is no union of three persons and no Trinity in the sense in which we teach it. God is only a single personality. Only the Father is God. All other holy spirits are God’s creatures. None of them is the Father’s equal.
Where does all this absurdity come from? Surprisingly from the very bible itself, especially from the New Testament. If you have read the Old Testament, you would notice that the believe of a Triune God did not exist. The OT folks knew this for sure that there is but one God, the Father. They knew about the preexistence of Jesus, and they knew about the holy spirit but never did they assume the existence of a Triune God.
Let’s illustrate where all this confusion is coming from:
1-Our distorted notion of God’s nature. God is a spirit being (Jn. 4:24) with a personality and a shape, with a head, legs, etc, and a shape like ours - in fact, it is rather the other way round, we look like God instead. Many people believe that to be a spirit means to be formless or shapeless, which is not true. Spirit beings are just made up of a different material body. The inhabitants of earth are all spirit beings, with their spiritual bodies enveloped in a (temporal) material body. In as much two human beings can never merge together and become one entity, in like manner neither can two spirit beings. When the terms “the two shall become one, or my Father and I are one” are used, we should understand that they are metaphors. This term means that there exist a very close union between two or more separate entities.
2-Our notion of the Holy Spirit. Many people in Christendom believe that the Holy Spirit is a spirit being standing beside God and a member of the godhead that forms the Trinity. This is due to ignorance. In the original manuscripts there is the Holy Spirit and the holy spirit, each one meaning something different. But the translators of the bible and the early clergy men converted it all in “The Holy Spirit”. The Holy Spirit is God. God is a spirit and God is holy (Isaiah 6:3 “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;” Revelations 4:8 “…Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty”). God is the only self-existing spirit and only God is Holy. Any other created spirit that remains loyal to God will also be called holy spirit, as long as he keeps that loyalty. In the day he deserts God, he is separated from God and is no longer holy. Therefore, we have one Holy Spirit which is God Himself, and another holy spirit, which is made up of the entire spirit world loyal to God, led by Jesus, the first created spirit. So, holy spirit is compound, it means the whole spirit world, form by millions and billions and uncountable spirit host.
3-Adulterated bible verses. I am a believer and I know how it pains many to admit of the existence of forgeries in the bible. The more we deny this the more we shall remain in confusion. Many bible verses claiming Jesus to be God, equal to God or supporting a Triune God, are merely forgeries done long ago by the early fathers of the Law. Even science has evidences of this. Let’s compare side to side the most popular bible verses suggesting Jesus to be God and what was originally written before the falsification took place.
a)- John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made...
Originally it read: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. If Jesus is the word, it makes sense that he was with God in the beginning, but it is senseless that he was God at the same time. “God was with God” or “Jesus was God”…is just senseless. Jesus was a god, meaning an envoy of God. Today the usage of a god has changed. The term “a god” was used in antiquity to refer to a superhuman being (human messengers who communicated with spirits), mainly God’s envoys (the prophets of old) Psalm 82:6 "I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High.' John 10:34 ‘Jesus replied, “Is it not written in your Law: ‘I have said you are gods’ ? If he called them gods to whom the word of God came (prophets) — and the Scripture cannot be broken — then what about the One whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world? How then can you accuse Me of blasphemy for stating that I am the Son of God? (quoting Psalm 82:6).
Because of this forgery (the word was God, instead of the word was a god –meaning an envoy of God), many have concluded that he is God, even when the very Jesus insists that he is the Son of God.
b)2 Peter 1:1 “To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ”
Originally it read like this: “…to those who have attained the same faith as we. May grace and peace be yours in greater abundance, the farther you progress in your knowledge of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ”.
From this you can see that Peter never said that Jesus is God. He said that we should progress in the knowledge of God and of Jesus.
c)- John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
Original reading: “And Thomas exclaimed, “My Lord and my master”.
You can clearly see how the word master was replaced with God.
d)1 Timothy 3:16 “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.
Original reading: “In it we publicly confess how great is the mystery concealed in our religion, that mystery which came down to us as a human being, which attained to perfection in the spirit, which appeared to the apostles, which was preached in the spirit world that is estranged from God, which the universe relies on, which was led on high in glory”.
e)Titus 2:13 “looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ
Original reading: “…keeping our eyes fixed upon the lofty goal of our hopes and awaiting the hour when the glory of the great God will appear together with the glory of our redeemer Jesus Christ…”
f)Hebrews 1:8-9 “But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”
Is God calling his Son Jesus God? (also read Psalm 45:6-7).
Original reading: “But of his Son He said, “God is your throne forever; the scepter of the royalty with which He invests you is a scepter of justice. The place of God has been your heart desire and you have scorned to become an apostate from Him. Therefore, God who is also your God has anointed you with the oil of gladness and has placed you above your fellow”.
g)Revelation 1:8/22:13 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
First of all Jesus only said this in Revelations 22:13 and not in Revelations 1:8. We have to keep in mind that Jesus is the Alfa and Omega, the beginning and End (Conclusion) of all things that God created, because even Jesus is a created being. Colossians 1:15 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn (first fruit) of all creation. Revelation 3:14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this:”. Jesus is Alfa and Omega in God’s Creation only. God remains the Alfa and Omega to Jesus and the entire creation (1 Cor. 11:3 …”and the head of Christ is God).
h)1 Timothy 6:14-16 “our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.”
Original reading: “ I charge you to keep your office free from all blemish and reproach until the coming of our Lord Jesus. His coming will be brought about by that Most Exalted and only Sovereign, at the time that He has fixed. He, the King of kings and Lord of lords; he Who alone possesses immortality; He Who dwells in the in an unapproachable light; He Who no human being has ever seen or can see; He Who honor and power belong forever”.
It is clear that Paul is alluding God as King of kings, Lord of lords, etc.
i)John 8:24 - “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.”
Original reading: ‘That is why I said to you that in your sins of apostasy you would die the death of separation from God. For if you do not believe that I am what I profess to be, you will suffer separation from God through your sins of apostasy”
Here you clearly see how by capitalizing “I AM”, they aimed to change the meaning from a verb (to be), to a noun, referring to God like the “I AM”( Exodus 3:14) . Moreover, we now know that the translation into “I AM” is wrong as well, because the correct meaning was avoided and replaced by “I AM”, which should be “He Who Is.” If “He Who Is” was used, we would not be having this conversation and confusion.
j)John 8:58 - Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
Original reading: “I am speaking the truth”, Jesus answered: “I am older than Abraham”.
Here you see clearly that Jesus was simply telling them that he existed before Abraham, which is true, because Jesus is the first created being in the entire creation. So, to me, they should have at least said that ‘before Abraham was I were or I was”. Or maybe the English is of old.
k)John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.”
Original reading:” I and my Father are closely united.” In no way Jesus implied to say him and God form one entity or one unit body. Even if we read it as “I and My Father are one,” stills does not mean that Jesus is God. To be one with a person means many things, except to form the same unit body.
l)John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I and the Father are one?”
Original reading:” After all this time that I have been with you, do you not recognize me Philip? He who has seen me has also seen the Father. Then how can you say “Show us the Father” do you not believe that I am in communion with the Father, and the Father with me?
As you continue reading, you will realize more about the meaning of the words “He who has seen me has also seen the Father”, not in the sense that Jesus is the Father, but an envoy of the Father.
m)Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
Original reading:” Go, therefore, and make all unbelievers ray disciples, baptizing them by immersion as a symbol of their faith in the Father and in the Son and in the holy spirit-world.
The bible verses below are the most powerful of all to prove Jesus to be God. In fact, these verses knock out all who attempt to prove the opposite. But let’s read and get some revelation.
n)John 1:3 “Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made.”
o)Colossians 1:15-17 “ The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”
I have said it, Jesus is not God or YAHWEH or JEHOVAH. Some people argue over this scriptures and conclude that only God can create, therefore if Jesus created all things, he can be no one else but God Himself. Is a good point, just that the assumption that only God can create is wrong. God is the creator of all things, true, but God has also given us power to create as well, that is why we are capable of creating things. God created a stone, out of it we create many things, for example. God created Jesus, and out of Jesus He created many things. God did not create the universe (material and spiritual) directly, but He commanded Jesus to do them on His behalf. That is How Kings operate. They command and others execute their commands. Our problem is that we do not have perfect knowledge and understanding on how God created the universe. Although the bible tries to explain it with the words “all things have been created through him”, not “all t all things have been created by him.” All things were created by God, but through Jesus, meaning Jesus executed the creation of God.
If we should use the term “Trinity”, it should be in the sense of the union between the Creator (God), his first born Son (Jesus), and the host of spirit beings created by the Father, through his son (the holy spirit). Therefore Father, Son and holy spirit (Trinity) should not be interpreted as a union of three Gods
Remember Isaiah 46:9 “Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me,” Meaning, there is no other God.
There is only God the father, there is nothing like God the Son or God the Holy Spirit. It will simply contradict Isaiah 46:9.
We have been indoctrinated from childhood into the trinity doctrine and we have just grown up to defend it, without been capable of seen the contradictions in it or the absurdity in it.

Curious as to the source of the "original readings" came from out of the over 25K manuscripts. Can you provide more information of your source(s)? Thanks.
Caller:  I was having a discussion with a friend of mine the other day about the Nature of God, and she was saying that she saw God's Nature as being Three Separate Individuals that acted together under the Title of God - kind of like how my father, my mother and I would act together under the title 'family'.  And that is how she explains that you've got a singular God a singular Entity called God, but that there can be different individuals in that.  And I don't really know how to answer that.

Pastor Doug:  Well actually that's not too far from the truth Doug, because the Trinity doctrine - actually you don't find the phrase Trinity so to speak in the Bible - but the doctrine of the Godhead, where Jesus said baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, you can find three distinct Individuals outlined in the Bible.

And there are so many references to it:  not only Matthew 28:19 that I just quoted, but if you go to 2 Corinthians 13, verses 13 and 14, he says, in his conclusion he says, 'All of the saints salute you. [Notice] The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, [that would be the Father] and the communion of the Holy Ghost be with you all.'  So there you have another example of those three Entities that the Bible speaks of.

Caller:  But do you think They are three completely separate Entities?

Pastor Doug:  The three Persons of the Godhead - you know when Jesus was baptized is a good example where you can see they're three separate Entities.  Christ, God the son, comes out of the water at His baptism.  The Voice of God the Father says, 'This is My Beloved Son....' Incidentally, this is Matthew chapter 3.  Then the Holy Spirit descends in the Form of a Dove.  So you've got three distinct Persons that are making up God.

First John 5:7 says, '...for there are Three that bear record in Heaven [there's three, very simple].  The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.'  Now some people get confused and they say, ' 'these three are one?  How can They be three in one?' '  All you've got to do is remember that in the Hebrew mind, one meant unity.

Jesus said a man leaves his father and mother, cleaves unto his wife, they become one flesh.  Well they're two in reality.  We know they're two separate, distinct persons.  They're now one unit of a family.  God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are united in their purpose of creation, of redemption, and saving man.

You know there in Genesis, it tells us God said, 'Let Us make man in Our Image.'  And later when man sinned, God said, 'man has become like Us [plural].'  So you find all the way from Genesis to Revelation the teaching of God being a Triune God.  The Angels say, 'Holy, Holy, Holy' for each member of the Godhead there in Isaiah chapter 6.

So that's just a brief summary of some of the Scriptures that teach us about the three Persons in the Godhead, ok?

Caller:  Ok.

Pastor Doug:  All right.  I hope that's helpful.  You know I'm getting ready to write an article on that Doug and so if you're on the Amazing Facts' mailing list, you'll get our magazine that explains the Trinity ok?

Caller:  Ok thanks!

Pastor Doug:  All right.  God bless.
